Skip & Slumber is a take-off of an earlier chamber work, Cathedral Disturbances. I plucked out the dance ideas from that earlier work and stretched them out, and made this piece a stand-alone work. This work is also an attempt at an unusual musical form- rather than building to a climax, this piece begins strong and then gradually fades to a dreamy stillness.
