Home Safe workshop and performance of 'Parlor Songs'
An intimate afternoon of singing together and making improvised music as a contemporary version of olde-time parlor singing. Led by me! Plus if you’re lucky, a song from me at the keyboard. Back in the day, if you wanted music in your life, you had to go listen to it live or make it yourself! Here’s my modern-day version of this. No musical experience required.
Space is limited to 8-10 people as this will include a visit to Rebecca Peebles’ house in Cole neighborhood, Denver; homemade food is provided.

A Garden of Sound at Denver Botanic Gardens
Performance-lecture ‘A Garden of Sound’ reprised at the Denver Botanic Gardens!
Originally made for DBG’s Artist in Residency program Landline, I will perform John-Cage style a lecture and sound-survey of all the sounds of the gardens that are not plants. Come hear what one YouTube commenter called ‘Conceited’ and ‘Devoid of Content’, and three people walked out of in its first performance—but what the rest of the house found a tribute to this magical place and people that make plant life happen.

Visual Music workshop at the Denver Art Museum
Teaching a half-day course at the Denver Art Museum, tickets available to the public! Come be my student. I taught this two years ago and it was an amazing experience seeing everyone make connections between visual art and sound- we went up to the galleries and interpreted artworks as a mini 'choir' and then made a massive collaborative music score.
