Aspirations (2008)

Premiered by Donna Amato, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.

A tribute to one of my favorite composers, John Adams, and his minimalist style, though the work quickly becomes my own. 

The piece contains one gong-like prepared piano note (a screw placed in between two strings) in a nod to John Cage.
